Sony is continuing to expand on their new brand called "Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters," ugh. Venom was their first film in this brand and it performed really well, making a ton of money despite mixed reviews from critics. Because of the success, Sony has announced two release dates for their next Marvel movies and fans are speculating on what they could be.

Both movies are coming out in 2020, with one untitled film releasing on July 10, 2020, and the next one getting released on October 2, 2020. It's hard to guess what these films are going to be but many are guessing that we will be getting a Venom sequel, which has him taking on Carnage, and the Jared Leto-starring vehicle Morbius, or, Morbius the Living Vampire.

Leto confirmed that production on the movie is ongoing as the guy has shaved his beard and even hashtagged the movie's name. This film definitely has to be one of the 2020 movies, unless it gets delayed or a director leaves, like the Gambit film. Here is hoping that the film is good, though Sony is just hoping that it makes a ton of money.

This report confirms that the October movie is a sequel, so if that isn't the Carnage-starring Venom sequel, I don't know what it is. Maybe it's a follow-up to the upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated film but that has to make money before Sony makes a decision.

Venom will probably get a Blu-Ray release soon.
