Alden Ehrenreich was seemingly poised to become the next big thing in Hollywood after landing the role of a lifetime as young Han Solo in the Star Wars franchise. However, 2018's Solo: A Star Wars Story didn't receive much love from the fandom and it seemingly left the young actor's career in obscurity. In fact, after Solo, Alden's acting credits only include one film and television show but it looks like he's on his way to finally redeeming himself.

It was confirmed this week (via ComicBook) that the 32-year-old is officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe via the upcoming Ironheart series starring up-and-coming actress Dominique Thorne.

As it stands, Ehrenreich's role in the show remains under wraps but with Marvel Studios' grand return to San Diego Comic-Con 2022 just around the corner, it would be safe to assume that we'll be getting more details regarding his involvement in the show, as well as the project's official release date.

Meanwhile, Riri Williams will make her official debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever before Thorne headlines her own series on Disney+. Concept artwork and images from the MCU sequel have been making their rounds all over social media featuring the suit of armor the character will be donning.

Considering Tony Stark plays a pivotal role in Riri's life in the comics, it'll be interesting to see how Marvel Studios presents the character with Iron Man's absence.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is slated for theatrical release on November 11, 2022.
