What Happened in Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 4?
In Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 4, Bound By One Track, Another problem awaits as the Eternal Engine faces a blocked track while Alex recounts her mother while reading Melanie’s journal wherein, she gets to see her in her visions. Ben saw what Wilford did with the few cars of Big Alice blocking up the tracks and they need an engineer to be able to move it away.
Good thing they had the brilliant minds they need in order for the journey to continue. Ben and Alex pursue to remove the cars while they are on comms with Javi to drive Snowpiercer in reverse until they clean the mess up.
Meanwhile, Asha still gets haunted by the trauma of her past. Ruth, on the other hand, got a date and it has been a brewing one since the start of the season, with Pike. Ben and Alex went to the cars derailed by Wilford to block the tracks and they found out that there were dead bodies in there, sacrificed by Wilford and Alex found out that one of her friends was there, Shilo.

After their sweet date, Pike takes Ruth into his place while they get into some steam. As for Javi, he started hallucinating, seeing the dog of Wilford constantly barking at him. As for Zarah and Layton, their baby is something that Wilford values because who would have ever thought that a new life arrives in such a dire situation.
However, they got into an argument. See, Zarah had been visiting the clinic of Mrs. Headwood where the baby was experimented on whilst still being inside Zarah’s womb as they inject on the child the cold-resistant treatment that they used on Josie to see whether the baby could develop some resistance from the freezing temperatures.
Layton found out about this and he was furious because that happened without his consent and he decided to talk it out with Zarah who later revealed to him that she consented to it, even blaming him for not being there while his baby was growing in her womb in exchange for following Melanie’s ghost and her research. Zarah also told him that she has to remain on good terms with Wilford to get the care she needs.
Ben and Alex continue to find out how to take away the cars derailed by Wilford and Ben failed to unlock the coaches from the tracks. Alex tells Layton that when in dire need, Wilford is the only answer they could have.
Roche was able to get out of the drawers and he was extremely in pain when he learned that his wife did not make it. He exacted revenge on Wilford and he instructed Bess to take some drugs from the drawers to kill off Wilford. He wore his Brakeman uniform once more to trick the guards in prison and Wilford was surprised to see him finally up and running again. In a fit of rage, Roche injected Wilford with the drug Bess took from the drawers.
When Layton went to prison to ask Wilford how to remove the derailed cars of Big Alice, he could Wilford on the brink of death. Still, with so much humanity inside of him, Layton chose to save his archenemy and instructed the doctors to give him enough medical attention to save his life. After all, having Wilford alive keeps information from dying with him. Wilford was taken into care and remained in critical condition.
This left Alex no choice but to solve the puzzle in front of her on her own with the help of the thoughts of her mother appearing through her visions. Successfully, Alex was able to do it and she realized that she could work through the situation by using the hydraulic lines. Ben and Alex come back on Snowpiercer and the train moves forward. Meanwhile, Alex pays a visit to Wilford.

Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 5 is titled “A New Life” and the synopsis of the episode is as follows: “A series of terrorist attacks threatens to derail Layton and Zarah's big day."
The next episode is expected to be the birth of the child of Layton and Zarah considering the title of it. However, the question remains on whether the baby could have survived the experiments tried on it and would it be effective considering that they have to test it with the threat on the life of the child.
