That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus' Dream Gets November Release Date

Even though the third season is still going to take a while, 2023 has been a good year for Slime Isekai fans. After the Scarlet Bond movie was released earlier this year, fans will also be treated to That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus' Dream as it finally got a November release date announcement.

Previously revealed back in February, Coleus’ Dream is an original net animation (ONA) series that features a brand-new story.

With this short series finally releasing in just a bit over a month, fans at least have something to look forward to as they wait for the third season.

Fans Can Look Forward to a Slime Isekai ONA Ahead of Season 3

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a popular isekai anime by studio Eight Bit of Blue Lock and Laid-Back Camp fame. The show’s first season aired in 2018 and it has since received several anime entries.

The Slime Isekai’s latest project is the Scarlet Bond movie, which was released in November 2022 in Japan. Soon after, fans in the US were treated to a theatrical release.

Now, there’s more Slime Isekai goodness to look forward to as Coleus’ Dream is coming this November. The upcoming series entry has a new trailer, which you can watch here:

This new ONA will be three episodes long, and it will feature an original story by the original light novel’s writer, Fuse.

For this three-episode ONA, the main cast of the anime is returning, alongside staff members from Eight Bit. They will be joined by new cast members as this ONA will introduce new characters.

The voice cast members for the new characters in the ONA are composed of well-known VAs. They include:

• Masaya Matsukaze (Suiryu in One-Punch Man) as Aslan
• Atsushi Tamaru (Akira Kunimi in Haikyuu!!) as Sauzer
• Natsumi Hioka (Koharu Minagi in Slow Loop) as Zenobia
• Nobuhiko Okamoto (Katsuki Bakugo in My Hero Academia) as Paolo
• Takuma Terashima (Shiroe in Log Horizon) as Satoru

Also revealed alongside the new VAs is the opening theme. The Coleus’ Dream opening is titled Hikari Hanatsu and is performed by Satoru VA Takuma Terashima.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus' Dream will be released on November 1, 2023. For now, there’s no word yet on a release date or platform for the ONA outside Japan.
