Who is Skip Tracer Randy in The Rookie?
Skip Tracer Randy (played by Flula Borg) is a guest character on The Rookie who has made a couple of appearances so far. With these appearances, however, fans are enjoying the mayhem he brings.
His first appearance was in season 4, when Detective Harper (played by Mekia Cox) hires Skip Tracer Randy to get some dirt on her ex-husband. In this episode, we don't really see him on screen yet since their interaction was over the phone.
Episode 14 marks Randy's first physical appearance on the show. It turns out that Randy was previously a skip tracer who is trying to dip his toes into bounty hunting.
Unfortunately, his lively and energetic personality doesn't fit the job. He is also really bad at following clues or directions. Although he helped solve a case, he found himself in more trouble.
At the end of that episode, Randy referred to Bailey Nune (played by Jenna Dewan) and John Nolan (played by Nathan Fillion) as his besties.
Skip Tracer Randy also made a guest appearance in The Rookie season 5, where he, again, accidentally helps solve a case for Harper and Nolan.
Despite only being a guest on the series, Skip Tracer Randy has excellent chemistry with Officer Nolan.
Because of this, avid fans of The Rookie are hoping that he can be added to the show as a regular.
Is Skip Tracer Coming Back on The Rookie Season 6?
The Rookie season 6 made its premiere a few days ago. One trademark of the show is that it brings back characters from previous seasons. So is Skip Tracer coming back on The Rookie season 6?
In The Rookie season 6 episode 2 (also the show's 100th episode), Skip Tracer Randy makes a guest appearance. But unlike his past appearances, it looks like Randy is behaving this time around.
In this episode, Nolan and Bailey are preparing for their wedding. Randy is one of the guests in this episode, where he appears to have a date portrayed by Meg Delacy.
