Lee Sang Hoon’s Cause of Death

It remains unknown when exactly Lee Sang Hoon learned about his cirrhosis diagnosis. Details about his health are also not yet available to the public.

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases explains the condition occurs when a patient’s liver is scarred and permanently damaged. These scar tissues prevent the organ from working normally, leading to liver failure.

Some of the causes of the dreaded disease include alcoholic liver disease, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, chronic hepatitis C, and chronic hepatitis B.

Lee Sang Hoon Almost Died Before

Before his recent untimely passing, Lee Sang Hoon and the four other members of QOQ suffered a major car crash in December 2002 – the same year they debuted.

They were traveling on Jeju Island when the accident happened.

The idols all suffered extreme injuries, with Siu – who was only a second-year high school student at that time – sustaining a bowel rupture.

QOQ disbanded following the event, but Lee Sang Hoon returned to the music industry in 2007 under the name, Coolapica. He continued working on his career in 2010 as Mazik Flow.
