Shroud's Team vs. Damn I Love Fwogs in the Opening Round

Shroud's team won their opening round against 'Damn I Love Fwogs' 2-0, winning 13-6 on Haven then 13-4 on Bind.

On Haven, Shroud's record was 11 kills and 10 deaths while debuting the latest VALORANT agent, KAY/O. He used the robot killer agent's utility to rack up a server-high 12 assists. His teammate and VALORANT content creator, ShawnBM top-fragged in that match with 24 kills and 8 deaths.

On Bind, Shroud played as the controller agent Omen, getting 16 kills, 6 assists, and 11 deaths. In this match, Laski was the team MVP with 20 kills as Raze.

Shroud's team eliminated in their next VCT match

After an impressive performance in their opening round, What's going on lost to EZ5 in RO 64 match, which was pretty one-sided as EZ5 won the series 2-0.

On Breeze, EZ5 dominated the map 13-7, and on the second map Haven, EZ5 won 13-5, eliminating What's going on from the tournament.

Although they only won one match in the qualifier, the team didn't expect much since they were mostly playing for fun, and according to Relyks, they had 0 practice.

Is Shroud really back in the competitive scene?

Earlier this month, Shroud announced during his Twitch stream that he will be competing at the VCT with a stacked team that includes: Michael "Shroud" Grzesiek, Timmy "iiTzTimmy" An, Skyler "Relyks" Weaver, Leonardo "Laski" Arroyo, and ShawnBM.

On stream, Shroud said multiple times that his team is playing to have fun first, and that this isn't indicative of a full-time return to active competition. However, Shroud fans are still happy to see his competitive side since he's been focused on streaming and being a content creator.

After Riot launched VALORANT last year, Shroud explained why he's not returning to the competitive scene even though he thinks it's a great game.
