Shiny Meltan is Coming to Pokemon GO and Pokemon Let's Go for a Limited Time

It looks like Niantic and Game Freak still want you to connect Pokemon GO with Pokemon Let's Go, as The Pokemon Company has announced that Shiny Meltan will be available for a limited time. Meltan is the newest Pokemon that can only be obtained by connecting GO and Let's Go so getting a version of the monster that's rarer than the original will get everyone's attention.

According to the company's blog, players will have the chance to get a shiny Meltan through a Mystery Box that can only be obtained in Pokemon GO when both titles are connected. The Shiny Pokemon can then be transferred to Let's Go or kept in GO, depending on the player's preference. The developers seemingly want players to spam this feature as they also revealed that waiting for the Mystery Box to be used will be reduced.

Players can get the Shiny Meltan from now till March 4, so get ready and use that feature. It's an interesting way to keep players on their cell phones/mobile devices/Nintendo Switch. This should keep players busy until the new Pokemon game comes out later this year, which will give us a new region and new creatures to capture, which will likely reach 900 or 1000 on the official Pokedex.

Pokemon GO and Pokemon Let's Go are now available on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch respectively.
