Shazam!’s Zachary Levi Wishes Thor Films Developed The Warriors Three More

Zachary Levi may be the face of Shazam! now, but not too long ago, he was Fandral in Marvel's Thor movies. Levi may be glad they killed off his character to make room for him playing Captain Marvel, but he does express his regrets that the MCU didn't give his character a more meaningful arc.

He tells ScreenRant:

"I knew that the Warriors Three could be really fun characters if they ever developed them. They just didn't. They didn't. they didn't in the first one. They didn't really in Dark World. That's not to say there weren't some moments that were shot that weren't used ultimately in the movie. Even when I got killed, there was more to that scene. Granted, maybe 30 seconds more of a line here, a line there."

Though the Warriors Three never really got to be in the spotlight, they've been in the Thor films since the very first one. Watching Ragnarok again, it's kind of infuriating how so quickly they were killed off. Heck, the three could have been together taking on Hela instead of just Hogun by himself.

With Avengers: Endgame said to be exploring time travel moving forward, I kind of wish that they made the Warriors live again. There was so much potential for them, that it's criminal the way they were offed. Hopefully, with Marvel miniseries on the way, the MCU will consider giving the Warriors Three the spotlight they deserve.

Catch Avengers: Endgame in theaters April 26. Shazam! comes out April 5.
