Shazam! Star Zachary Levi Wants To Crossover With Aquaman And Wonder Woman

Shazam! might have had quite a number of allusions to the heroes of the DC Extended Universe, the film didn't have much in way of cameo appearances. Still, Shazam actor Zachary Levi says that he would definitely love to make appearances outside the Shazam! franchise, hoping for a couple of crossovers with other DCEU heroes like Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa's Aquaman.

Levi just recently attended this year's CCXP Cologne convention in Germany (via ComicBook.com) and during a panel with fans the actor was asked whether Momoa could make an appearance in Shazam 2! even though the original Shazam! movie's post-credits made a few jabs at Aquaman.

"I mean after making that joke about him, I'm sure he's pretty salty about it and doesn't want to be in the next Shazam! movie," Levi Joked, "No, I don't know, I honestly don't know. I would love that."

The actor was also asked whether or not Shazam could get his own team-up movie someday. Shazam! was a big hit – it wouldn't be surprising to see Billy Batson getting his own team-up movie like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

"Look, I love a good team movie, right? We all love a good team movie, that's why the Avengers did a zillion dollars at the box office," Levi said. "If we get to make another Justice League, and Shazam gets to be in the Justice League, I would lose my mind. I think it would be so much fun. And in lieu of that, if DC and Warner Brothers and New Line find it cool to either have other DC heroes in my movies or I get to go and make cameos in their movies, I'd love to do that, too. I just love that I get to be an actor and I get to wear spandex and a cape and pretend to fly. Like, it's the stupidest job ever, it's amazing. I can't recommend it enough."

DC has yet to make any sort of confirmation about Shazam's future though, so we have to wait and see whether Shazam really gets any kind of crossover movie.

Shazam! is set to release on 4k Ultra HD and Blu-Ray on July 16.
