Shazam! Gets A Cute Fan-Made Vintage Trailer

Warner Brothers might have definitely wowed DC fans with its new teaser trailer for Shazam! but it looks like the Darth Blender team just couldn't help but bring Captain Marvel back to old school form with a vintage fan-made trailer.

Mixing together the audio of the new Shazam! teaser and the video of the classic Shazam TV series from 1974, the Darth Blender YouTube channel tries to create a retro trailer of its own, and while the audio is offsetting, the results aren't that bad. Some of the footage matches up pretty well with the context of the audio taken from the new trailer, and the old shots are great to watch. The Darth Blender team even tries to sink the words of the audio with the movement of all the different actors and actresses lips.

It's a fun little mix really, and we can't help but get excited for the new Shazam! movie. A lot has changed since the 1970s, and when we compare footage from the classic series and from footage Shazam!, we definitely can't help but appreciate the updated transformation sequence and the costume Warner Brothers had made for Zachary Levi. Levi also has a lot of boyish charm, even more so than the original actor from the classic Shazam television series.

Shazam! makes its big premiere on April 5, 2019.
