Shazam Director Trolls Asher Angel’s New Adult Transformation

Asher Angel sure has a whole lot of transformations. In Shazam!, the young actor plays Billy Batson, a teenager who turns into Captain Marvel after shouting out the acronym of the six immortal elders: Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury (Shazam).

In Nickelodeon's The Substitute, the seventeen-year-old gets another transformation, the series has a hidden camera TV show like Undercover Boss where celebrities get turned into entirely different people to disguise and fool unsuspecting students in classrooms. This program has the celebrities turning into terror substitute teachers and in this week's episode of The Substitute, we get to see Angel with a very, very different look.

Nickelodeon just recently shared a tease of what Angel would look like in the newest episode of The Substitute, and Shazam! director David F. Sanberg couldn't help but comment on the picture.

Taking to Twitter, Sandberg said that the young actor looks a whole lot less like Zachary Levi's Shazam and more like himself.

Check out the tweet down here:

The Substitute's hair and the make-up team did a really great job at disguising Angel. He looks nothing like himself at all. Kudos, kudos.

Of course, fans can expect Angel to make another transformation as they wait for Shazam! 2 to screen. The young actor is getting older, and so when we see him in the sequel to Shazam! we may get to see a taller and aged version of Billy Batson.

The only question is, how old will Billy be when we do get to see him in Shazam 2? Let's wait and see.

Black Adam is set to premiere on December 22, 2021.
