Shang-Chi Star Simu Liu Addresses Whether He's in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

There's a lot of anticipation right now for the upcoming MCU film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness thanks to the rumors and speculations that several Marvel characters will be making cameo appearances. Given that it's going to explore the multiverse, the possibilities are endless where we can see existing MCU characters or characters that haven't been introduced yet show up somewhere in the film.

During the "Actually Me" video for GQ, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu responded to a question on Quora that asked if he is going to show up in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. He answered, "Even if I were in that movie, which I'm not, there is no way in hell that I would ever say it out loud. That's all I can really say, right? Nah, I'm kidding." You can watch it starting at the 11:48 mark of the video:

It seems that Liu was very sure that he won't be showing up in the film. Of course, if he is actually going to appear in a cameo, he won't be saying it until Marvel allows him to do so. You can't blame the fans who are assuming that Shang-Chi will show up in the sequel since Wong made an appearance in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. There's a connective tissue that makes it possible for him to appear in some way.

Right now, Shang-Chi's future in the MCU is still unknown, but we do know that Marvel is working on a sequel and the character is expected to be one of the major players in the franchise moving forward. We should be hearing more information about the character's future in the MCU soon enough.
