Sebastian Stan Compares The Falcon and The Winter Soldier to Captain America 2

There is little doubt that fans already have high hopes for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. After all, the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series is set to follow Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes after the events in Avengers: Endgame. Now, it looks like Sebastian Stan has found the perfect way to hype people up for the new Disney+ show. The Avengers: Infinity War actor has just compared his new series to the wildly successful MCU flick Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Stan recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about working on the MCU series, which he revealed was similar to working on a film. The I, Tonya star then pointed out that the show is fairly similar to the second Captain America movie.

"What I loved about it was that, tonally, it was very much in the same world that Captain America: The Winter Soldier was, which was one of my favorite experiences that I've ever had, period," Stan said. "So, in a sense, it was grounded and very much in the world as we know it."

That's not the only reason why The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is similar to Captain America 2. Stan also confirmed that yes, there's a lot of action sequences to look forward to.

"It's also really jam-packed with a lot of massive, massive action scenes mixed with deep focus on character. That's what's really exciting about this," he said.

Now that's a comparison we've been hoping to hear. The second Captain America film is still believed to be the best MCU flick ever made and just knowing that Stan thinks the series is close to it makes us want to see it sooner.

For now, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has not yet been given an official release date. Nevertheless, it is expected to premiere on Disney+ by August.
