The Sasaki and Miyano movie might not get a wide cinema release in the US, but fans can at least watch it soon officially. That’s because Crunchyroll recently confirmed the September release date for Sasaki and Miyano: Graduation.

This anime film in the slice-of-life boys’ love franchise initially got limited screenings at two US anime events earlier this year. Before that, the film was screened in Japanese cinemas back in February.

Soon, Sasaki and Miyano fans from the US and other selected regions will be able to stream the show from the comfort of their own home. This is great news given that it has been a while since the TV anime ended.

Sasaki and Miyano is a BL slice-of-life anime by Studio Deen (of The Seven Deadly Sins and Log Horizon 2 fame). The first anime season aired in Winter 2022, though it has not been renewed for a new season since.

Fans are hoping that a new season will be greenlit sometime down the line, especially as the manga that it’s based on is still ongoing.

Despite the lack of a renewal, fans were at least treated to the Sasaki and Miyano: Graduation movie which was released earlier this year in Japan.

This film effectively serves as a sequel to the anime as it adapts the manga’s Graduation arc. This arc follows the main characters Sasaki and Miyano as they move into the next stage as a couple.
