Sarah Ferguson has always been very loyal to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew. In fact, the mom of two stayed loyal to the Duke of York even after they got a divorce. Shortly after Prince Andrew was accused of sexually abusing underage girls, Ferguson sat down for an interview and said that Prince Andrew is a thoroughly good man.
“It’s been extraordinary the pandemic for everybody, it’s been so challenging for everybody. But I think that Prince Andrew is such a good man, he’s a thoroughly good man, he’s a very gentleman, he’s a really good father,” she said.
Less than a few months later, there are claims that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s mom needs to decide whether she would stay loyal to Prince Andrew or not. After all, choosing the former could mean that she would be dragged into the Duke of York’s scandal.
Sarah Ferguson Can’t Decide If She’ll Keep Supporting Prince Andrew Or Not
New Idea, in its Jan. 17 issue, claimed that Ferguson feels pressured since it’s a struggle for her to decide whether she will continue supporting the Duke of York or not. As a result, she allegedly decided to go on a vacation with her daughters and sons-in-law.
“It’s interesting timing that Fergie chose now to take off on a family holiday with the girls given that, until now, she has stayed in the Royal Lodge with Andrew. Things are increasingly messy for Andrew, and it seems it’s getting all too much for Fergie,” an unnamed source said.
Sarah Ferguson Can Be Dragged Into Prince Andrew’s Scandal
Last week, Prince Andrew’s friend, Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty of helping Jeffrey Epstein meet and abuse underage girls. Following the court ruling, there are whispers that Prince Andrew could also be called in court so that he could share his side of the story.
This won’t be a good look for the royal family if this pushes through. So, the Duke of York needs Fergie’s support now more than ever.
“Whether or not Andrew is guilty in the American courts, it’s clear he’s never going to escape this scandal. I guess Fergie has to decide whether she’s going to go down with him or not,” the unnamed source said.
Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie Are Helping Sarah Ferguson Make A Decision
The unnamed source went on to say that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie decided to bring Ferguson to Switzerland with them because they know how worried and stressed she is.
“Beatrice and Eugenie are using this trip to carefully plan their mom’s next move. They will be fine, as they have their granny’s total support. But Fergie risks being made a pariah by association with Andrew. The girls feel the best thing to do is for Fergie to keep quiet. She might struggle with that as she has an unwavering sense of loyalty to Andrew,” the unnamed source explained.

Sarah Ferguson Vows To Stand By Prince Andrew
Ferguson has been very open and vocal about her support for Prince Andrew.
During an interview with Porta a Porta, the mom of two said that she stands by her ex-husband.
“He is such a kind, great man, he is a brilliant father and now a fantastic grandfather. I feel very strongly that in this day and age that we must stand by our hearts, what we think is right with integrity and honor and loyalty. I believe that the love I have for him and he has for me is just very different from what normal people have,” Fergie gushed.
On another occasion, the Duchess of York also talked about what it was like marrying Prince Andrew. She said that it was pretty much like a fairytale.
“First of all, I was marrying a man, then I was marrying a naval officer, and then I was marrying a Prince and he was very good looking, a handsome prince from all the fairy-tales he even had the sword,” she said.
So, there’s no doubt that Ferguson will always stand by Prince Andrew no matter what. However, it’s unlikely for her to be called to testify against her ex-husband.
