Sandra Bullock did not expect the arrest of her former stepson Jesse Eli James Jr. The Bullet Train star reportedly felt blindsided when she learned about it.
How Did Sandra Bullock Feel About Jesse James' Son's Arrest?
Jesse James' son was sentenced to two days in jail on May 19 after pleading no contest to assault charges from his ex-girlfriend Lucee Peterson. However, he reportedly ignored order protection by sending her more than 50 menacing messages.
"Sandra is incredibly upset someone she cared for and raised as a mother could be capable of harming another woman," a source close to the Oscar winner told Radar Online.
Jesse was reportedly arrested on domestic violence charges on April 20, 2021. He made bail four days later but allegedly broke the protective order. He was busted again for barraging his ex with frightening messages on social media.
"You are my girl still! I'm not looking for anyone and you better not be a h—behind my back!" one of the disturbing texts read.
James Jr. reportedly has a lengthy criminal history. In April 2020, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting Lucee. At the time, he was ordered to have no contact with her and required to wear a GPS monitoring device.
She detailed some of the incidents that happened between them, including one in April 2021. According to her, James Jr. allegedly became angry when they were evicted from their apartment, and he blamed her.
"Jesse started threatening to kill me," Peterson wrote in the court documents. "Do you want me to f------ lose my s--- and knock the rest of your f------ teeth out? …I’m gonna f------- kill you b----, I’m going to f------ punch your face into dust."

Sandra Bullock And Jesse James Relationship Revisited
Bullock and James began dating in 2003 and married two years later. James Jr. was only 6 years old when his dad's romance with the Miss Congeniality actress started.
In a press conference promoting her movie Premonition, Bullock spoke about being a stepmom.
"Here's the thing, I have children. I married into children," she said at the time, ABC News reported. "I love those children. My concern and my love for those kids as a co-parent is no less than if I had that child biologically."
"I don't see the difference between that and having your own child biologically. My priorities are love, my want, my wishes for them, my discipline, my rules, my fun, is because of my children. I have them .. .I feel for the children I have in my life and I would not change that."

James and Bullock got custody of his daughter, Sunny, in December 2009. She had helped him raise his kids.
However, in March 2010, InTouch magazine ran a cover story titled The Ultimate Betrayal. It featured model Michelle "Bombshell" McGee, who claimed to have had an 11-month affair with James. Another woman, Melissa Smith, came forward and claimed to have had a two-year affair with James. A third woman, Bridgitte Daguerre, also claimed to have had a relationship with Bullock's former husband since 2008.
In April 2010, Bullock filed for divorce in Texas. They finalized their divorce in June 2012.
