Is the Saltburn Drain Mug Real and How Can You Get One?

While the Barbie, Wonka, and Mean Girls movies got to have their very own popcorn bucket merch for promotion, the black comedy psychological thriller Saltburn has a post-theatrical run collectible: its very own Saltburn drain mug. Classy.

The question is, is it an official movie merch and how can you get your hands on one?

Fan's 'Official' Saltburn Mug Goes Viral

Part of loving any movie and series is getting your very own collectible to commemorate them — whether it be inside jokes or the moments that stood out.

Saltburn may appear to be your typical coming-of-age story between Oliver (played by Barry Keoghan) and Felix's (played by Jacob Elordi) love story, but the film depicted more of the horrifying truth behind bringing Oliver to Felix's estate.

The flick included a lot of disturbing imagery and metaphor, but one particularly disturbing scene seemed to have stuck with the audience.

In this case, Saltburn is most notable for its infamous bathtub scene where Oliver slurps the very bathwater that Felix ejaculates in. This is exactly what the Saltburn drain mug was made for, as shared by a fan on TikTok that went viral:

While the mug merch may look like a regular white mug with the Saltburn logo on the outside, the inside of the mug happens to contain a shower drain, serving as a nod to the film's most unforgettable scene.

The fan in the video said, "Amazon Prime Video, you are sick and twisted for this," which implies that the mug may be an official merch of the movie. But is it, though? And is the Saltburn drain mug purchasable? Here's what we know.

Is the Saltburn Drain Mug Official Movie Merch? Where to Get It

According to the fan on the viral TikTok video, the Saltburn mug came straight from Amazon Prime to promote the film. Her TikTok video included the official box from Amazon with the Saltburn logo on top of it.

Apart from the drain mug, the TikTok user was wearing a striped shirt that seemed to be included in the PR package. That said, this means that the Saltburn drain mug is official merch.

Now, the question is, is the same mug purchasable? Unfortunately, the aforementioned mug doesn't seem purchasable elsewhere, as of writing.
