Salma Hayek Teases New Look for The Eternals Reshoots

COVID-19 might have shut down the production of the Hollywood entertainment industry's upcoming film and television projects, but now that the US government is slowly reopening, television and film work has begun to resume.

Gearing up to return to work on Marvel's upcoming Phase 4 title The Eternals, actress Salma Hayek shares a brand new look on social media.

Posting on Instagram on Tuesday, the actress shares before and after photos of her hairdo in preparation for her return to work on The Eternals. While the after photo shows Hayek with freshly-dyed hair, the before photo shows the actress with exposed greying edges.

"In anticipation for reshoots, I finally had to do my roots," Hayek wrote on her post.

We're not entirely sure whether the dyed hair means a time-jump for Hayek's character, but at least we know that the actress is prepping for her role as the Eternals group leader, Ajak.

For those who aren't entirely familiar with the Eternals, the character was created by Jack Kirby and has appeared both as a superhero and as a supervillain in the Marvel comic universe.

Right now there isn't that much news about The Eternals, but we're bound to hear more updates once Marvel resumes production on the highly-anticipated film project.

Directed by Chloe Zhao, the movie offers a star-studded ensemble with actors like Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kit Harrington, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kumail Nanjiani. The Eternals is set to premiere on February 12, 2021.
