With the Summer 23 season just a few weeks away, the fantasy rom-com anime Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence finally revealed its July release date in a new trailer.
Along with the release, the anime’s new trailer also showcases the main cast and their respective voice actors. Plus, the show’s opening and ending themes were also previewed.
From the looks of it, this comfy romance anime should be one to watch for anime fans that are looking for a wholesome rom-com this coming season.
Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence Highlights Main Voice Cast
The latest trailer for Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence was released by Aniplex via its official website.
In the trailer, the voice actors for the two main stars were highlighted.
Voicing Cecilia is rookie VA Hime Sawada. Meanwhile, Lawrence is voiced by Kaito Ishikawa (Naofumi Iwatani in The Rising of the Shield Hero). Then there’s the rest of the cast which includes:
- Haruki Ishiya (Shuichi Tsukamoto in Hibike Euphonium!) as Abel
- Kanna Nakamura (Urushi Yaotome in When Will Ayumu Make His Move?) as Hazelita
- Haruka Tomatsu (Asuna Yuuki in Sword Art Online) as Mell
- Mai Nakahara (Nagisa Furukawa in Clannad) as Rebecca
- Makoto Koichi (Yahiko Myoujin in Rurouni Kenshin 2023) as Eric
- Tomoaki Maeno (Veldora Tempest in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) as Gieselbert
- Reina Ueda (Kanao Tsuyuri in Demon Slayer) as Frederica
This new trailer also previews the opening song Koisekai (World of Love in English) by ClariS of Madoka Magica fame.
Meanwhile, the ending song is titled Tokoshie Star (Eternal Star in English) by sasanomaly, an artist known for creating the opening theme of The Case Study of Vanitas.

Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence Reveals Official Release Date
This upcoming anime is set in a town where people get advice from a saint, the church’s designated symbol for good morals.
A young girl named Cecilia is chosen as the town’s saint, though she is secretly prone to laziness.
Taking care of her is Lawrence, a doting pastor who accepts Cecilia’s true nature. Soon, Cecilia develops feelings for the pastor.
Originally, this show was set to release in April, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent Winter 23 delays, the show’s release was moved back by a season.
Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence is confirmed to release on July 12 in Japan at 24:30 JST (effectively July 13 at 12:30 AM JST).
The show is confirmed to release on Crunchyroll soon after each episode airs in Japan.
