Ryan Reynolds is often associated with Marvel's Deadpool these days and rightfully so but it's no secret that there was a period in his career where he can't seem to escape the shadow of another iconic superhero he once portrayed and that is Green Lantern. Of course, we're all aware that Reynolds' first flight as a superhero didn't go according to plan and his 2011 DC film ended up being a disaster, both critically and financially.

While it is true that in life, you can never say never, I feel like Reynolds' Green Lantern days are behind him and if there's no need for a redemption story because his true redemption is being able to play Deadpool flawlessly. Still, if ever he returns to the DC universe one day, I'd still take it but for now, I'm already satisfied seeing him rock the Marvel universe.

HBO Max's Green Lantern Corps series is under development.
