Ryan Gosling Would Star In A Batman Movie If It Had This Director

Ryan Gosling might not be part of the DC Extended Universe yet, but with Ben Affleck's future in the franchise remaining fairly uncertain, it looks like the Blade Runner 2049 star is hoping to star in a Batman film – well if it were directed by La La Land star Damien Chazelle.

Sitting down to speak in an interview with Variety to help promote the upcoming biographical drama movie First Man, Gosling was asked whether he'd like to play Batman someday. Though the Canadian actor and musician essentially laughed the publication off, the Lars and the Real Girl star admitted that he might think about suiting up as the Dark Knight if Chazelle would direct the film.

Check out the interaction between Gosling and the publication in the video of the interview down below:

Directing both La La Land and First Man, Chazelle has developed a great working relationship with Gosling who would only enter the superhero game if the director were to helm a superhero film. Of course, while it's definitely interesting to imagine what Goslin would be like as Gotham's Capped Crusader, Chazelle is currently busy working on other projects including First Man and The Eddy. Besides, Warner Brothers already has Matt Reeves and The Batman.

The Batman doesn't have a release date yet but we'll keep everyone updated as soon as we get word.
