Russo Brothers Say it's 'Logistically Impossible' to Include Marvel Fox Characters in Avengers: Endgame

With the Disney/Fox merger officially finalized, everyone is wondering when the Marvel Fox characters can come to the MCU. While it's been said by Kevin Feige that we may not get anything in the next five years, some fans have conceded to just get one teaser, even a post-credits appearance. The thing is, the Russo Brothers have shut down that possibility as well.

Talking to ComicBook, Joe Russo explained, "It would not have been… That deal didn't actually officially close until a week and a half ago. It would not have been logistically possible." Not to bring anyone down though, Anthony Russo added, "We will get there." Then Joe Russo concluded, "We'll get to Secret Wars one day."

When it comes to making an actual character appear in the film, I guess it would be considered impossible, seeing that the studio would have to go through a casting process and have someone already commit to a certain character—not to mention they have to find someone in less than a month.

Others have hoped for a small teaser, like a silver surfboard, but I guess that could mess with any potential stories in the future. By not having any references, it doesn't box anyone into a corner when the movies will eventually be made.

If it's any consolation, we might get an appearance from two characters in The Eternals. Rumor has it that Marvel had already started searching a few months ago, and filming is expected to start sometime within the year. Again, these are just rumors, so we could get something completely different by the end.
