Runtime for DC’s Joker Revealed

With Shazam! finally hitting home video, DC fans are now waiting for the next thing which is Todd Phillips' Joker movie. The film is set to hit the Toronto International Film Festival, and the official site has revealed the runtime for the film.

As per the TIFF site,Joker will run for 122 minutes. We don't really get that much details on the movie, but the site does give us this new description:

Joaquin Phoenix becomes the iconic comic-book villain in director Todd Phillips' (War Dogs, The Hangover trilogy) dark chronicle of a vulnerable man's descent into violent madness.

With Aquaman and Shazam! being more kid-friendly when it comes to their tone, Joker is going all out for the R-rating. The movie is definitely not for kids, and Phillips himself has also confirmed that it won't be based off any of the comics, so anyone expecting it can say goodbye to that.

Personally, I'm very excited to see where this movie is going to take us. While I was admittedly apprehensive when the idea was first announced, I slowly warmed up to it when I saw the set photos, then I was fully on board when the first teaser came out. We don't really know when the next trailer drops, but hopefully, we get one soon since the film is set to come out in a few months.

Failed comedian Arthur Fleck encounters violent thugs while wandering the streets of Gotham City dressed as a clown. Disregarded by society, Fleck begins a slow descent into madness as he transforms into the criminal mastermind known as The Joker.

Catch Joker when it hits theaters Oct. 4.
