Rumor: The Batman has Already Started Hiring a Crew

Updates for Matt Reeves' solo Batman movie have been so scarce and so vague that some people were already skeptical if the movie was going to be made at all. Now rumor has it that the film is actually gearing up to start, and the movie is already hiring a production crew.

This comes from Batman on Film, saying that The Batman has already "starting to hire people to work on the film. If so, that means that ‘they' are moving towards pre-production and filming could start at some point relatively soon, maybe."

Rumors have been going around here and there for the film, but nothing solid has been confirmed about the actual plot or setting. The latest rumor to come out about The Batman was that it would follow the story of a younger Batman prior to Batman v Superman, and will serve as a kind of reboot for the character.

While I am a fan of Batfleck, it would make sense to cover the life of Batman before he became the hard and grizzled version of himself in BvS. I wouldn't say no to seeing a younger Batman work alongside Robin or Batgirl. Maybe we can even follow the origin of the vandalized Robin suit in the Batcave?

For now, it's best that we take this production news with a grain of salt. Hopefully WB give us a solid update on the film come SDCC 2018 later this year.

No release date has been set for Matt Reeves' The Batman.
