Rumor: Is the Cyborg Movie Back on Track?

The Cyborg movie was initially set to come out in 2020, but after the bomb that was Justice League, it looked like the movie was pulled out of development. We haven't gotten any updates on Cyborg since then, but is it possible that the movie is now back on track?

This was posted by The Wrap's Umberto Gonzalez:

For now, a lot of people are scratching their heads over what the panel really means. Does this mean that the Cyborg film was dead but now they're planning on entering development again? Does this mean that Ray Fisher is being recast as Cyborg? Until we get an official announcement, I guess everyone's guess is just as good as mine.

Fisher himself had recently been getting some buzz what with a small reunion with Zack Snyder and him giving updates on his future in the DCEU. Fisher seems very committed in the role, and with the DCEU slowly getting back on its feet, it would make sense for them to restart Cyborg. After all, he's now one of the founding members of the Justice League.

Personally, I would have loved to see the Cyborg movie turn into a Teen Titans film instead, but it looks like WB hasn't heard my cries. If anything, Fisher was really great in the role, and though the movie bombed, I would have loved to have seen more of the characters onscreen.

Is the Cyborg movie in the works again? I guess we'll just have to wait for an official announcement.

Cyborg has not been officially announced by Warner Bros.
