Rumor For Star Wars: Episode IX Says *Spoiler* Is Making A Return

Now that Solo: A Star Wars Story is done making its big premiere, Star Wars fans are now looking to the next big Lucasfilm project, Star Wars: Episode IX. There might not be any major announcements from the studio just yet, but word on the mill suggests that a major Star Wars character might finally be appearing in the final sequel trilogy installment.

According to the Fantha Tracks, original Lando actor Billy Dee Williams will be popping up in the sequel for The Last Jedi, getting ready to play the sexiest smuggler in the Star Wars galaxy.

Though fans should be warned to take the report with a grain of salt like any other Star Wars rumor, the publication did cross the information they obtained with another independent source before releasing it to the public, so there's that.

Filming for Star Wars: Episode IX is expected to begin next month, so hopefully, we'll get other news sources to corroborate this new report. Knowing that the Star Wars franchise has been passing the torch from the original cast to the newer stars in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, fans have been looking forward to the appearance of Lando ever since Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It's hard not to miss the sexy smuggler's presence and we're really hoping Lando's finally going to land a role in Episode IX.

Lucasfilm's latest project, Solo: A Star Wars Story, is currently screening in cinemas. Star Wars: Episode IX makes its big premiere on December 20, 2019.
