After Buckingham Palace confirmed Prince Harry's solo attendance at King Charles III's coronation without his wife, Meghan Markle, a lot of speculations have been made about her absence.

Despite those numerous reasons, the royal family is said to be fine with the Duchess of Sussex's non-attendance.

King Charles' coronation day falls on the same day as Prince Archie's fourth birthday. Hence, Meghan will stay in the U.S. to be with his son and daughter, Princess Lilibet, though there are several reasons said as to why she will not accompany Prince Harry.

Royal Family Allegedly Fine with Meghan Markle's Absence at King Charles' Coronation

Former BBC reporter Tom Bower told Page Six that the royal family was ok with the former actress missing the historic event.

"I think everyone's delighted she's not coming," he said.

"They made sure that she wasn't going to come by making sure that she was told she'd have to curtsy three times, that she wouldn't be in the spotlight, that she wouldn't play any part in the whole thing, and that if she came, they'd be put in row 54 in the back behind the column," he joked.

Bower wrote the book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors.

Buckingham Palace Confirmed Prince Harry's Coronation Attendance

After several weeks of speculations, Buckingham Palace finally confirmed Prince Harry's attendance at King Charles' coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 6.

However, the Duke of Sussex would arrive solo, as Meghan had to stay in California with their two kids.

"Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the coronation service at Westminster Abbey on May 6," the announcement read. "The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."

A source told Page Six the former Suits star felt it would be "inauthentic" for her to attend the coronation amid the drama between her and the royal family.

"They had to make a decision that felt genuine and authentic, especially after everything that has been said and all the things that have gone down," an insider explained.

"The words that Harry and Meghan have said about the importance of their family are lining up with their actions," the tipster continued. "They care about their family, so Meghan is going to stay [in California], and Harry is going to support his dad."
