What’s the Deal With Ron Kamonohashi’s Scar?

Ordinary people would think Ron has a large tattoo on his neck, but those close to the clever investigator know he has a large scar that looks like the number 96.

Ron’s 96 scar is shrouded in mystery. He didn't have it until the events of the Bloody Fieldtrip occurred and irrevocably impacted his life.

Contrary to popular opinion, Ron's scar is not part of his eccentric fashion sense; it represents much more. Yes, the scar is attractive and cool to look at, but it caused significant anguish and sadness in Ron's life.

He may appear laidback at times, but Ron is missing a significant portion of himself since being ejected from Blue and having his license revoked.

After all, investigating crimes is Ron's reason for existing, and without it, he's on a meaningless road.

Ron Kamonohashi received his scar at the age of 17, at the pinnacle of his detective career at Blue, the world's most famous detective training academy.

At the time, the school's management chose Ron, the top student, to engage in a practical exercise with police officers in preparation for London's worst crime on October 1st.

Ron was in a classroom at Blue three days before the event and was in good spirits. He had no idea what was in store for him after being framed in one of the country's most contentious cases.

Everything was going swimmingly for Ron, but when he discovered the crooks' lair, everything fell apart.

When the cops raided the criminals' hideout, they found Ron carrying a dangerous weapon and covered in blood.

Noticeably, Ron was completely calm despite standing in the middle of the corpses of all seven murderers.

Ron had no idea what was going on because he couldn't remember what had happened to him. All he knows is that he was severely injured, and for some reason, only the 96 scar on his neck remained.

The incident was then known as the Bloody Field Trip case. Of course, the investigators did their job afterward.

They put Ron into their custody, and they accepted his alibi of having no memories of the period 30 minutes before and after the incident.

They also treat it as a case of temporary insanity, allowing Ron to avoid the death penalty. He managed to get out of the situation, but his license was revoked in the process.

So, What Does Ron Kamonohashi’s Scar Mean?

So far, the manga series has only revealed the meaning of the number 6 in Ron's 96 scar. The number 6 is implied to represent the "sixth Holmes generation," but Winter Moriarty refuses to be more explicit.

As a result, Ron Kamonohashi's 96 scar is most likely related to his family history.

He was the forbidden offspring of the Moriarty Crime Family and their archenemies, the Holmes Detective Family.

The Moriarty Crime Family was also behind the Bloody Field Trip incident, and they were the ones who gave Ron his Kill on Sight ability as well as his 96 scar.
