Shortly after the first season’s final episode, it was revealed that Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions Season 2 has been decided, and production should be underway soon.
The show’s second season renewal was announced after the 13th episode aired on Christmas Day in Japan. There was no trailer released to go along with the announcement, but there was a new Season 2 visual.
This anime’s quick renewal may come as a surprise to some given that the anime didn’t exactly get much attention in Fall 23 discussions.
Ron Kamonohashi: An Under-the-Radar Fall 23 Show
Fall 23 was a huge season, with Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2’s Shibuya Incident Arc being among the most-talked-about shows.
Along with this, the new shows Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End and The Apothecary Diaries were the standouts. Long-awaited sequels like Goblin Slayer Season 2 and Spy x Family Season 2 also got plenty of love from fans.
One of the new Fall 23 shows is Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions. This comedy mystery anime is made by Diomedéa, the studio behind titles like Domestic Girlfriend and Aho Girl.
Based on TV viewership numbers in Japan and online anime discussions, Ron Kamonohashi isn’t exactly the most popular show of the season.
For instance, the show generally doesn’t rank highly on Reddit’s r/anime every week, not to mention that it's fairly low on MAL’s Fall 23 list.
Still, the series has gotten enough of a fanbase for it to be considered a success. This is proven by the fact that it was quickly renewed for a new season.

Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions Season 2 Announced
Ron Kamonohashi Season 1's 13th and final episode aired on December 25 in Japan. Soon after, the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account confirmed the show had been renewed for a second season with a new visual.
This visual doesn’t give much away regarding the story, though it should still be great news for fans as this means the wait shouldn’t be too long.
Aside from the visual, there were no other details revealed. This means fans will still have to wait a bit longer for more news.
Given that a new season is in the works, it may take a year or so for it to air. Thus, there’s a chance that Season 2 will air in Fall 24 or in Winter 25.
Of course, this is all just speculation for now. In the meantime, fans who can’t wait for the next season can read the manga, which is serialized in English on Manga Plus.
