Rogue One's Felicity Jones Rumored to Make Her Star Wars Return

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was a great surprise for a lot of fans and it became one of the most beloved films in the franchise thanks to its unique story from the other films, its connection to the original trilogy, and its audacious ending where all the main characters died at the end. There are fans who are wondering if we might see them again despite their fate. Fortunately, Cassian Andor will be making his return to star in his own prequel series, and, now, it looks like we will be seeing another Rogue One character returning soon.

According to Giant Freakin Robot, Felicity Jones is in talks to return to the Star Wars franchise. However, there are no details about which specific project we will be seeing her reprise the role of Jyn Erso. We do have to take note that this didn't come from any of the major trades nor announced by Lucasfilm so we have to take this with a grain of salt for now.

If the outlet's report is true, it is exciting to hear that Jones might be making her return in the franchise although it's also not surprising given that Lucasfilm has been developing a lot of TV shows mostly set before or after the original trilogy timeline. While the character died at the end of Rogue One, there is still a way to bring her back through the TV shows or films that are set prior to the events of the film.

The question now is which Star Wars project we might be seeing her return (if the report is true)? The best guess right now is the Andor series since it is connected to Rogue One although they already finished the first season so it is likely that she could show up in the second season. It is also possible that it would be on a project that hasn't been announced yet. Either way, it's just exciting that we might see her return in the franchise soon.
