Rockstar Games Official Announces Red Dead Online


Read Dead gamers have a lot to celebrate today. Rockstar Games has just officially announced Read Dead Online for Red Dead Redemption 2.

Posting the announcement on their website, Rockstar Games has just lifted the veil over Red Dead Online, a game that the developer describes as a "new online connected experience set against the backdrop of Red Dead Redemption 2's enormous open world."

The sequel to the critically acclaimed, award-winning Western action-adventure video game released eight years ago by Rockstar Games, Red Dead Redemption 2 is undoubtedly the video game developer's biggest release following the rollout of Grand Theft Auto in 2013.

Now, Read Dead Redemption 2 has its own online spinoff. According to Rockstar, Read Dead Online is going to be an amalgam of narrative storyline and competitive and cooperative gameplay. As they say, an "evolution of the classic multiplayer experience."

With the gameplay of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 as its base, the developer tells gamers that they can choose to explore Red Dead Online by themselves, or they can check out the game together with friends. The developer also promises to provide regular updates and adjustments to Red Dead Online, sayig that it's going to help encourage the growth and evolution of gamers' experience.

Of course, because of its massive size, Rockstar is anticipating problems with the launch of Red Dead Online saying that gamers should expect "some turbulence" during its first few days.

Red Dead Online is getting a public beta launch this November. More news about the game is to come soon. Meanwhile, Red Dead Redemption 2 is set for release on October 26, 2018.
