Robert Rodriguez Remains Coy on When The Book of Boba Fett Will Return

The first season of The Mandalorian was widely celebrated, as was its second season. At the end of season two, it was announced that a spin-off titled The Book of Boba Fett was in the works.

Despite the anticipation, Boba Fett disappointed the fans when it premiered. Issues about creative decisions run throughout the eight-episode series and divide the audience.

However, most viewers are hoping that the Disney+ series will reclaim itself by continuing the story into a possible second season, especially after The Mandalorian season 3 wrapped up.

Fans are already speculating that The Book of Boba Fett will return because the character didn’t grace The Mandalorian’s last season, opening up the possibility of his presence in another project.

But in a recent interview with Gizmodo, the show's director and executive producer, Robert Rodriguez, didn’t spill anything to confirm if the series will return, yet he also did not close the deal if season 1 is the end of the story.

“I can’t say. I'm sworn to secrecy. I wish I could tell you. I know all the answers to what you’re asking, but I can’t say.” affirmed Rodriguez.

The filmmaker also looked back on his experience working on the set of Boba Fett, stating how grateful he was to work for the franchise.

“The sets were so real. Even the volume was so real that you felt like you were in Star Wars...to get to direct and edit and be part of the Star Wars universe just as an experience is one of my favorite experiences because it was just a dream come true,” said Rodriguez.

The Book of Boba Fett's post-credits sequence revealed that Cobb Vanth survived his rendezvous with Cad Bane, which demands to be explored in the future, probably in The Mandalorian season 4.

Season 1 of The Book of Boba Fett is now streaming on Disney+
