Robert Pattinson Tried All Previous Batman Suits Except One

There is little doubt that Robert Pattinson got his own Batsuit for The Batman. However, there was a time when he was still auditioning for the role and had to wear someone else's suit. Pattinson himself had previously admitted putting on George Clooney's suit but it looks like he actually got to try on all of the previous suits except for one!

Robert Pattinson had previously talked about wearing George Clooney's Batsuit when he was trying out for the role in The Batman. However, in a new interview with Fandango, the former Harry Potter star revealed that he actually wore more than just one suit.

"I weirdly got to try on every Batman, every single Batman outfit for my screen test, to see actually which Batman I was," Pattinson said.

If that sounds like a lot of costumes, his co-star Colin Farrell is quick to point out that there was one suit that Pattinson didn't get to try on. "Not Adam West," Farrell said.

It's not exactly a huge surprise that Robert Pattinson wasn't asked to put on Adam West's purple suit. After all, The Batman is set to be a serious and violent interpretation of the Caped Crusader. With that in mind, it's safe to say he won't be playing the whimsical version of the character.

It has been confirmed that The Batman will be darker and grittier than previous films featuring the DC superhero. This would explain why early reviews have noted that the movie is very violent and will see the Caped Crusader tapping into his dark side. With that in mind, we can't wait to see the film next month.

The Batman also stars Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, and Andy Serkis. The movie will hit theaters on March 1, 2022.
