Robert Downey Jr Teased Avengers: Endgame Before Age of Ultron Came Out

As we wait for Avengers: Endgame to make us cry a bucket-load of tears, fans have been looking for clues that lead into the film, searching for various clips in movies and trailers. It seems like even interviews with actors and directors are possible sources for clues as a pre-Age of Ultron interview with Robert Downey Jr has surfaced, seemingly teasing Endgame.

In the interview, Downey claims that Tony Stark is working on a system that will make sure that the Avengers don't have to do all of the saving, calling that the "endgame." Sadly, this system ended up giving birth to Ultron who could have been more compelling but ended up being a bit too comedic. At least he had a personality, even if it was ripped off from his master.

This magical endgame that Tony wants has been put in the backburner after Civil War and now, Thanos. You can't blame him for wanting something that can help the heroes have an easier job and putting an end to crime, even if it did lead to an evil android. The new endgame seems to be finding a way to reverse what Thanos did, probably at a great cost. We're all thinking time travel and it looks like Ant-Man's appearance in the first trailer confirms that.

Now that we're only months away from Endgame, it will be interesting to see if more clues are revealed before the next trailer. A new trailer wouldn't hurt either since knowing more about the plot would be great. That could be us being greedy though.

Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26, 2019.
