Rob Liefield Says X-Force Movie Has 50-50 Shot With Disney

Marvel might have its hands busy with the reshoots for Avengers 4 and the marketing campaign for Captain Marvel, but it looks like the studio might get even busier with the possible inclusion of the X-Men and other mutants after the successful merger between Disney and Fox.

Though there hasn't been any official announcement about the transition of the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and other mutants to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, mutant comic book creator Rob Liefeld believes that there's a 50-50 percent chance that Fox's upcoming X-Force movie might happen at Disney.

Taking to Instagram to celebrate the first-year anniversary of the film's official movie announcement at Fox, Liefeld decided to share his take on the production of the film, writing in the caption that "with Disney absorbing Fox," he predicts that fans are "looking at a jump ball, 50/50 that this comes together in a timely manner."

However, while fans might celebrate the possibility of Ryan Reynold's Deadpool, Josh Brolin's Cable, and Zazie Beetz' Domino arriving in the MCU, Liefeld is a bit hesitant.

Of course, Liefeld has every right to be concerned about potential changes being made to his characters – after all, Disney might want to tone down the Merc with a Mouth's franchise so that it could fit with the studio's family-friendly ratings. There have also been rumors saying that the Mickey Mouse house might decided to combine Deadpool 3 and X-Force into one movie.

Let's just cross our fingers and hope that there aren't that many changes to the films when the Disney and Fox deal finally pushes through.
