Netflix’s upcoming sports anime Rising Impact finally has a premiere date, but its release is a special case. That’s because Rising Impact Season 2 got a release date even before Season 1 aired.
The show’s premiere dates were revealed via Netflix’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. There, a new visual was also shared that highlights the anime’s main cast.
All You Need to Know About the Rising Impact Anime
Rising Impact is a classic sports manga by Nakaba Suzuki (of The Seven Deadly Sins) that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1998 to 2002.
Despite having a successful run, it is only now that the manga is getting an anime adaptation.
The series follows a young boy named Gawain who loves baseball. Soon though, he is introduced to golf, a sport that he gets hooked on.
Because of this, Gawain sets off to Tokyo with a mysterious woman to level up his golfing skills.
Ahead of the show’s premiere, the main voice cast was revealed which includes:
- Misaki Kuno (Xiaolan in The Apothecary Diaries) as Gawain Nanaumi
- Yumiri Hanamori (Ai Hayasaka in Kaguya-sama: Love is War) as Lancelot Norman
- Yo Taichi (Guideau in The Witch and the Beast) as Kiria Noshino
- Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya Forger in Spy x Family) as Kurumi Noshino
- Kaede Hondo (Maple in BOFURI) as Yumiko Koizumi
- Yuto Uemura (Thorfinn in Vinland Saga) as Liebel Ringvald
- Yumi Uchiyama (Pack in Re:Zero) as Platalissa Bonaire
- Eiji Takemoto (Hajime Tsukishima in Golden Kamuy) as Wanglian Li
- Shunsuke Takeuchi (Nagisa Akutsu in Ao Ashi) as Riser Hopkins
- Katsuyuki Konishi (Tengen Uzui in Demon Slayer) as Kai Todin

Rising Impact Already Has Two Seasons
Much like the anime adaptation of Suzuki’s The Seven Deadly Sins, the Rising Impact anime is going to be a Netflix exclusive.
What’s interesting is that, unlike most shows which only get one season to start with, this new series already has two seasons in the works.
Handling production duties for both seasons is Lay-duce, the studio behind shows like Tomo-Chan is a Girl! and Fanfare of Adolescence.

Rising Impact Seasons 1 and 2 Release Dates Announced
Netflix finally revealed the release date for both seasons. Rising Impact Season 1 is set to be released on Netflix worldwide on June 22. Meanwhile, Season 2 is set to be released on August 6, just a bit over a month later.
It’s not clear yet if all episodes of each season will be released on the same day. That will likely be the case as most Netflix anime releases have that kind of schedule.
