Loki's fifth episode was home to several show-stealing moments, including Classic Loki's impressive display of powers as he tried to build Asgard inside The Void out of thin air.

The old variant of the God of Mischief played by Richard E. Grant may have looked goofy in his comic-accurate costume but he ended up making a lot of jaws drop last week and to many viewers, he was the MVP of Episode 5. Speaking of looking goofy, as it turns out, Grant wasn't the biggest fan of the costume he ended up wearing for his guest appearance.

Apparently, the veteran actor wasn't expecting his version of Loki to look the least imposing and threatening out of all the Loki variants that appeared in the episode. Grant was under the impression that his version of the character will also be sporting a padded muscle suit after he received the sketch of his costume from Marvel.

Airing his grievances in a recent interview with ScreenRant, Grant jokingly said: "They sent me a sketch—with muscles, I might add. Maybe they assumed that I had some, but of course I turned up [looking] like a stick insect. And I did say to the costume designer, ‘Your drawing of what I look like has got muscles and looks fantastic. That's what I would love to look like.'

So I assumed, from her drawing that she sent to me in advance, that that's what I would have. I would step into a sort of Batman-like muscle suit, like the Jack Kirby drawings. But that was not to be and I thought, ‘Oh well, old, withered Loki is more likely what I've ended up with. Not much for Asgard to fight off!'"

Sure, Grant may have looked extra ridiculous in his Loki costume but you can't deny the fact that he did make a lasting impression on fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Now, it's safe to assume that Classic Loki and all the other Loki variants trapped in The Void will be making appearances in the finale tomorrow but it'll be interesting to see if their roles will have any sort of significance to the series' ongoing plot. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how everything will play out.

Loki's finale episode will stream tomorrow on Disney+.
