Rian Johnson Pokes Fun at Group of People Who Want to Officially Remake Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Star Wars: The Last Jedi has gotten into trending again, and it's because a group of fans have declared that they want to remake The Last Jedi and are looking for a meeting with Disney. TLJ director, Rian Johnson, however, could do nothing but laugh at these guys (who seem to be very serious).

It's admittedly a very ridiculous pitch, and even Seth Rogen couldn't keep himself from ignoring the post. He goes on to ask about how they plan to make a Star Wars movie legally, to which the group replied:

The group has "toxic fandom" written all over it, but the account promises that they want to make this movie even more empowering, with female directors supposedly at the top of their list and a larger role in store for Kelly Marie Tran. They also say that Rey deserves a "better" story.

So far, it looks like nobody is taking the post seriously, and Rian Johnson himself is visibly unfazed by the group's desire to abolish his work. With the #ForceOutHate in the Star Wars fandom recently, I'm just hoping it's people like this that we get less of moving forward.

So you didn't like the movie. MOVE ON.

As someone who saw The Last Jedi four times in the cinema, I'd say that I love every bit of the movie. Sure Holdo should have shared her plan early on, but every other sequence to me, was fantastic—even Canto Bight.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now available for home video.
