Resident Evil 2 Remake Showcases Original Costumes in New Trailer

The upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake has a lot of expectations on it since the original game that was released back in Sony's first PlayStation is considered a landmark title by many. With beautiful graphics, creepy atmosphere, and a refined version of the Resident Evil 4 gameplay, this could be THE horror game of 2019, which is saying a lot since it will be coming out in January.

As if the recent gameplay trailers weren't enough, Capcom has decided to tempt us with some nostalgia as they recently released a new video that shows the original costumes of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Their new costumes aren't bad at all, far from it to be exact, but having the option to wear these original clothes is going to be a treat to many.

Fans will also be happy to know that these costumes are going to be unlockable in-game, so those that think Capcom just loves DLC and microtransactions can get off their high horses, at least for now. Some other costumes might end up being DLC but fans will be happy that these outfits won't be.

Honestly, it will be hard for this game to not blow anyone away since gamers have so much nostalgia for Resident Evil 2, which many consider being the iconic title in the franchise. Resident Evil 4 is the title that changed gameplay a lot and influenced so many shooters that came after it, though some fans were surprised to see Capcom go back to this gameplay style after using a first-person perspective in Resident Evil 7.

Resident Evil 2 comes out on January 25 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
