Solo: A Star Wars Story might have disappointed in the box office but fans are hoping that it becomes a cult hit since many did enjoy watching the film. Those that liked Solo can make this happen if they purchase the Blu-Ray and DVD when it comes out. The Digital Bits might have just revealed the release date, though Disney and Lucasfilm have not confirmed it yet as official.
According to the website, Solo will be coming out on September 25. This is a pretty believable release date if true since it would be a number of months after the film's release. Expect an official announcement soon, given how the nature of these releases is.
Even though the movie wasn't a critical darling, it wasn't hated either and most audiences who have seen it seem to have liked it. While many would argue that it isn't "important" to the canon, the same thing can be said about a future Obi-Wan Kenobi or Boba Fett movie.
Detailing some of the past events of Han's life, Solo delves into one of the character's biggest heists. Han's actor Alden Ehrenreich also revealed that he is contracted for a few more movies, meaning that this might not be the last time we see this version of the character.
