Fans of the DC Extended Universe were given renewed hope after it was rumored last week that Henry Cavill would be making a surprise appearance at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about his Superman future. Folks were expecting the British actor to show up during the Black Adam panel but that never happened.
Cavill's absence would result in the fans booing Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson during his own panel because apparently, the actor himself isn't sure whether or not the Man of Steel star will be returning as Superman.
Now, a new report claims that Cavill was in fact set to make an appearance at the panel but health concerns prevented him from doing so. According to a scoop from The Weekly Planet podcast (via Twitter), Henry was set to fly to San Diego for Comic-Con but had to cancel last minute because he tested positive for COVID. The news reportedly comes from a credible source from The Witcher series.
However, reputable insider MyTimeToShineHello claims that none of it is true and Cavill was "never gonna be there".

There have been conflicting reports about Henry Cavill's future in the DCEU but we've yet to hear from the horse's mouth. Obviously, SDCC was a missed opportunity for both parties to create a ton of buzz and as it stands, we still don't know what the future holds for the one and only Man of Steel. It's definitely getting more and more frustrating by the day.
