With the series now a decade old, the Rascal Does Not Dream novel series confirmed it is ending soon, as it's down to the last two volumes.
Publisher label Dengeki Bunko announced that the Rascal Does Not Dream series will soon enter its final arc, and it also confirmed that only two volumes are remaining.
Along with the arc, the official titles and release dates for both volumes have also been confirmed.
Rascal Does Not Dream Light Novel Ending Happening in Final Two Volumes
Rascal Does Not Dream is a supernatural romance high school series that began in April 2014, making it officially 10 years old this month.
Its story follows Sakuta Azusagawa, a high school student who meets Mai Sakurajima, who is dressed as a bunny girl in the library. It turns out that Sakuta is the only one who can see her, and he helps reverse this.
Soon, Sakuta encounters more of these cases which he calls “Adolescence Syndrome.” He then helps out other girls affected by this supernatural phenomenon.
The series got a big boost in popularity when the anime adaptation by CloverWorks (of Spy x Family and Horimiya fame) was released in 2018.
Since then, the light novel series continued to get new volumes, while CloverWorks released three anime films.
Finally, after a decade-long run, the series is set to end in volumes 14 and 15. Fans won’t have to wait long, as these two volumes are set to be released in 2024.

When Will the Rascal Does Not Dream Series End? Official Ending Date Announced
Volume 14 of the light novel series is titled Rascal Does Not Dream of a Girlfriend, and it will be released in Japan on August 9, 2024.
Meanwhile, volume 15 is titled Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend, and it will be available on October 10. Effectively, October 10 is the ending date for the series, at least for the main story.
To mark the series’ conclusion, each volume will come in a limited-edition package that comes with a drama CD.

With the light novel now set to end, fans are wondering if this means the anime series will also get a proper ending.
It’s not clear if Aniplex and CloverWorks are planning on making the Rascal Does Not Dream anime a full adaptation.
Given that the series continues to get new anime adaptations though, it’s likely that there will be more anime movies or even a series that will cover the final volumes.
