Ralph Breaks the Internet: Check Out the Difference Between Ralph and Vanellope's Animation Models from 2012 and 2018

Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope Von Schweetz are back on the big screen with Ralph Breaks the Internet, and though we've seen these characters before, they've actually been polished a lot more since their appearance back in 2012.

Thanks to Animated Antic on Twitter, we get a look at Ralph and Vanellope's original models compared to their updated look for the 2018 film. Check them out:

As you can see, there's a lot more detail on the characters this time around, and it looks like they've made it so that Ralph's color palette is a lot lighter. We also get a lot more features on Ralph's clothes, and his body actually looks a lot blockier compared to the original model.

Personally, I can't tell that much difference with Vanellope's model with this photo, but I remember looking at her in the film and thinking her clothes have a lot more texture this time around—especially with her stockings.

Ralph Breaks the Internet came out with a lot of sparkling reviews when it debuted last month, and I have to say, I liked it way better than The Incredibles II. I think on the buzz on Ralph though, was suddenly overshadowed by how much people loved Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which some are claiming is the best animated movie of the year.

Video game bad guy Ralph and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz must risk it all by traveling to the World Wide Web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope's video game, "Sugar Rush." In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet -- the netizens -- to help navigate their way, including an entrepreneur named Yesss, who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site BuzzzTube.

Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet is currently in theaters.
