Quicksilver Actor Evan Peters Joins WandaVision in Mystery Role

In recent memory, there are two actors who have played Quicksilver a.k.a. Pietro Maximoff on the big screen; Evan Peters in X-Men: Days of Future Past and Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Avengers: Age of Ultron. While we have no update on Taylor-Johnson appearing in WandaVision, news has Peters has joined the cast of the Disney+ show.

According to Murphy's Multiverse, Peters has been cast in WandaVision in an undisclosed role. With the show said to be focusing on Wanda's reality-altering powers, fans are already thinking that Evans will be making a cameo as Marvel Fox's Quicksilver, possibly in a multiverse-bending scene. Of course, it's possible that he could just be cast as someone else entirely.

With WandaVision said to be setting the stage for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, it would make sense if we can get some Multiverse Easter Eggs as early as this series. With Peters pretty much done with his Quicksilver role, it would be great if he could make this cameo, even for just a few seconds. I mean, if Ezra Miller's Flash can appear in Crisis on Infinite Earths, Fox's Quicksilver can make a pit-stop in the MCU.

Of course, I'm also hoping that the MCU Quicksilver makes some kind of cameo. He was admittedly underwhelming in Age of Ultron, and it would be great if Taylor-Johnson is given a chance to ‘redeem' his character in some way.

For now, WandaVision is expected to come out later in the year, but Marvel could push things back depending on the situation with the Coronavirus.
