It's only been a few weeks since Queen of Tears aired on Netflix yet fans are already praising it for its storyline and choice of actors. Other than the main leads, there is one character that stands out: Queen of Tears' Leopard Aunt.

Who is Queen of Tears' Leopard Aunt?
Avid viewers have dubbed the character of Kim Jung-Nam as Queen of Tears' Leopard Aunt, Hong Beom-Ja, because of the outfit she wore when she stole a scene.
She is the sister of Hong Hae-In's (played by Kim Ji-Won) father, Hong Beom-Jun (played by Jung Jin-Young).
In her infamous scene where she wears a leopard top, Beom-Ja shows up unannounced at her mother's memorial, which is a big celebration for the whole family.
Beom-Ja claims that Moh Seul-Hee (played by Lee Mi-Sook) was behind her mother's death and that she was keeping their father away from another sibling.
Why Was She In Prison?
We first meet Beom-Ja as Baek Hyun-Woo (played by Kim Soo-Hyun) visits her in prison. He serves as her lawyer, who brings her dental floss hidden carefully in a book.
She tells Hyun-Woo to hurry up and get her out of jail.
It is revealed in the same episode that Beom-Ja was put in jail by her own father, Hong Man-Dae (played by Kim Kap-Soo), to teach her a lesson. Apparently, she grabbed Seul-Hee's hair and kicked her.
Her brother approaches and asks her to calm down. She gets mad at her brother and reminds him that their mother died of a heart attack because of their father's mistress.
What Are Fans Saying About Beom-Ja?
Despite her eccentric and no-nonsense personality, fans of Queen of Tears are actually loving Beom-Ja. In fact, fans believe she is the smartest and most genuine person out of Hae-In's family since everyone else is cunning and out to get something.
She also went to her ex-husband's wedding day to cause a scene yet did not care about what people would say.
They also love that she is the only one who supports Hae-In's relationship with a commoner like Hyun-Woo.
