Queen Elizabeth II couldn't help but react when her late husband drove fast. However, Prince Philip didn't like his wife's reaction one time and allegedly threatened to put her out of the car, according to a royal biographer.
Queen Elizabeth Reacted To Prince Philip's Fast Driving And Allegedly Got Threatened
Prince Philip loved to drive so fast, according to his friend and biographer, Gyles Brandreth. Due to the late royal's love for fast driving, he had been involved in multiple non-fatal crashes. When he was 97, Prince Philip survived and was unscathed from a serious crash after his vehicle flipped onto its side.
Brandreth recounted Prince Philip's driving skills. He shared the time when he shared a ride with the royal and the latter was behind the wheels.
"I have been in a car with him and I have to say he drives really well, but he can drive fast," he told BBC Today Programme (via Express). "When he was younger he was a dynamo, he did everything fast."

Brandreth shared an incident when Prince Philip resorted to threatening his wife who couldn't keep her silence while he drove so fast on the road.
"He was a dynamo and he could be impatient. His cousin Countess Mountbatten told me that her father, Lord Mountbatten, was once driving with the Queen and Prince Philip through Cowdrey Park and Prince Philip was going too fast according to Lord Mountbatten," he shared. "The Queen was sort of yelping and drawing in her breath and flinching as he drove so fast. And Prince Philip turned to her and said, ‘Look, if you do that once more I will put you out of the car’."
After the "hair-raising journey" ended, Lord Mountbatten reportedly approached Queen Elizabeth II on why she didn't protest to what her husband did to her, after all, "You're the Queen." To his surprise, the monarch responded, "Oh you heard what he said and he meant it."
Queen Elizabeth And Prince Philip's Relationship
Prince Philip was the Queen's constant. They had been married for 73 years before he passed away in April 2021. The Duke of Edinburgh resigned from his job to support Queen Elizabeth II's duty as the British monarch.

"But life, of course, consists of final partings as well as first meetings; and as much as I and my family miss him, I know he would want us to enjoy Christmas."
For her first outing this year, Queen Elizabeth II made a special tribute to her late husband by using his walking stick when she attended a reception she hosted at Sandringham House in Norfolk, England, on the eve of her Accession Day.

Brandreth told The Telegraph he "recognized the stick instantly."
"It was always kept in a pot by the front door," he explained. "It was the duke's stick, and it is very touching that the Queen has started using it."
