Queen Consort Camilla and Meghan Markle seemed to have an amicable relationship with each other when the latter first joined the royal family. But according to a royal expert, King Charles' wife has always been suspicious of Prince Harry's wife.
Queen Consort Camilla Referred To Meghan Markle As 'The Minx'?
In the book Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsor's, royal author Tom Bower said that Queen Consort Camilla even gave Meghan Markle the nickname "The Minx," which was reflective of her real feelings for the Duchess of Sussex.
"From the outset, Camilla was suspicious about the adventures from Los Angeles. She found it hard to believe that Meghan would sacrifice her career and independence to serve silently as a team player devoted to the monarchy," he wrote (via Cheat Sheet).

King Charles Fondly Called Meghan Markle 'Tungsten'?
King Charles also had a unique nickname for his daughter-in-law. But unlike Queen Consort Camilla's moniker for Markle, his had a more positive ring to it. The dad of two reportedly called the Duchess of Sussex "tungsten" because he thinks that Markle was tough and unbending.
However, these very same qualities caused a rift between Markle and the royal family. Following her exit from The Firm, several stories claimed that she was very difficult to work with and always wanted to get her way.
Prince Harry Accuses King Charles Of Being Jealous Of Meghan Markle In Spare?
In Prince Harry's book Spare, he claimed that King Charles and the other royal family members were jealous of his wife. After all, when Markle first joined the royal family, it became evident that she was different from the other royals. And this made her a huge threat.
The Duke of Sussex also claimed that King Charles told him that he cannot support him and Markle financially because he was worried that they could just steal the limelight from him.
Prince Harry added that King Charles had already experienced what it was like not being the center of attention while he was with Princess Diana. So, he refused to let that happen to him again, this time with Markle.
Prince Harry also claimed that the royal family planted negative stories about him and Markle to try and destroy their reputation. So, shortly after they tied the knot, it became evident to the Sussexes that they were losing the support and trust of the public.
In the end, Prince Harry and Markle just decided to quit their royal duties altogether. And as of writing, it's unclear if they are still in contact with King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla.
