Amid the royal family's infamous motto of "never complain, never explain," one royal expert believes they should have responded to Prince Harry's claims in his memoir, Spare. British author Alexander Larman claims Prince William should have taken a stand and given an interview to answer his younger brother's allegations and address his pains and concerns.

Larman explained it might be much better if the royal family showed they're very concerned about Prince Harry amid all the claims he made against the monarchy.

Prince Wiliam Should Respond to Prince Harry's Claims

"I'm on record saying that they should have responded," the journalist, who wrote The Windsors at War: The King, His Brother and a Family Divided, told Us Weekly. "I think Prince William should have given an interview in which he extended the hand of brotherhood."

The historian said the Prince of Wales should have said that the royal family was all concerned about his sibling.

"And you can really see now that the William and Harry relationship – there's lots of speculation of will they be together, will they speak to each other," Larman said.

"I think it's fair to say no because after Harry published Spare, he knew exactly what he was doing," he continued. "Anyone who isn't completely imbecilic would've known that to publish a book like Spare, with that level of attack on your family is essentially ending any kind of relationship you're ever going to have."
