Prince William has no plans of controlling the Commonwealth nations following his and Kate Middleton's Caribbean tour.

After the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Belize, Jamaica, and the Bahamas, the second in line to the throne said he would allow the Commonwealth nation to choose its leaders, prompting some to think that he was withdrawing his support for his father, Prince Charles as the next head of the Commonwealth. But some felt that he was only mirroring the Queen's commitment to service.

"Who the Commonwealth chooses to lead its family in the future isn't what is on my mind. What matters to us is the potential the Commonwealth family has to create a better future for the people who form it, and our commitment to serve and support as best we can."
